Workplace Safety
The Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970 established the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA). The mission is to ensure safe and healthful working conditions for workers by establishing and enforcing standards and by providing training, outreach, education and assistance to reduce the risk of injury in the workplace. While OSHA provides sufficient strategies to prevent injuries, the following pages provide steps you can take to prevent injuries while working in the workplace or at home.
