The Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970 established the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA). The mission is to ensure safe and healthful working conditions for workers by establishing and enforcing standards and providing training, outreach, education, and assistance to reduce workplace injury risk. While OSHA offers sufficient strategies to prevent injuries, the following pages provide steps you can take to prevent injuries while working in the workplace or at home.
