In response to the urgent need for effective vaccination strategies during pandemics, the "Cognitive-Based Integrative Model for Enhancing Vaccine Uptake" was developed to enhance vaccination rates both in the United States and globally. Initially developed to provide to the World Health Organization (WHO) to help to end the COVID-19 pandemic (SARS-CoV-2), this model aims to serve as a proactive framework for preventing future pandemics. By empowering communities with evidence-based knowledge, the model emphasizes the importance of individual choice and social responsibility in mitigating virus transmission through vaccination and other preventive measures.
At the core of this integrative approach is the commitment to tackle vaccine hesitancy through cognitive strategies. By fostering behavioral change and reshaping preconscious perceptions, the "Cognitive-Based Integrative Model for Enhancing Vaccine Uptake" strives to increase vaccine uptake. Essential components of the integrative model include initiatives that raise awareness about disease transmission methods and the benefits of vaccination, ultimately enhancing community health and resilience. The "Cognitive-Based Integrative Model for Enhancing Vaccine Uptake, incorporates components of the CBI Program Neuroscience-based Models, developed in 2021 by Dr. James DeCarli. The Prevention and Vaccine Promotion Task Force, was established in 2022 in an effort to improve vaccine uptake.
