What can you do?
- Talk to Someone: Reach out to a trusted adult, such as a teacher, school counselor, or parent. Sharing your experience is crucial to getting support.
- Document Incidents: Keep a record of bullying incidents, including dates, times, locations, and what happened. This documentation can be helpful when reporting the bullying.
- Be Assertive: If you feel safe doing so, calmly tell the bully to stop. Sometimes, bullies back down when confronted directly.
- Seek Support: Join groups or clubs where you feel safe and accepted; connecting with friends and peers can help build a support network.
- Report Bullying: Report the bullying to school authorities. Many schools have anti-bullying policies in place, and they can take action to address the situation.
- Use Resources: Consider utilizing available resources such as hotlines, counseling services, or support groups designed for students dealing with bullying.
