Childproofing Service - Home Safety Consultation
We provide a personal home safety consultation to help you prepare your home to keep your baby safe as they become more active. While no home can be completely childproofed, there are ways to increase layers of protection, to help keep your baby as safe as possible, in the event of a brief lapse in supervision. We provide the Home Safety Consultation in-person or virtual telehealth. Often virtual can be easier for parents and provides the same outcome. Either way, we go through your home with you in-person or in-person via WhatsApp to have a video conference call, to discuss room-by-room. We recommend having your home childproofed and prepared by the time your baby is 5-6 months of age. For questions or to schedule, please call 323-491-6197.

What does the Home Safety Consultation include:
We will walk through each room in your home with you to discuss injury risk factors. As an injury epidemiologist and Master Certified Health Education Specialist (MCHES), risk factors are based on evidenced-based childhood injury and fatality data, obtained from National Safety Council, Safe Kids Worldwide, Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and other research organizations. After we obtain these risk factors, we will provide you with a list of layers of protection room-by-room. These will be linked to examples of products that you can purchase and install. Once you use the service, you will always have us as a resource for future questions or concerns to keep you and your family safe in your home.
