About Pro Car Seat Safety
Since its founding in April 2015, Pro Car Seat Safety, a division of Pro Consumer Safety, has been committed to enhancing child passenger safety through education, hands-on installation, and professional training. As a NHTSA-certified mobile service, we have proudly served the greater Los Angeles area and the entire country, providing vital services and resources for parents, caregivers, hospitals, and organizations committed to child safety. |

Our Approach
Our methodology applies Behavioral Skills Training (BST), an evidence-based technique validated through research published in the January 2024 issue of the Journal of Organizational Behavior Management. This approach emphasizes effective strategies to ensure proper car seat use, ultimately saving lives and reducing injuries. Our personalized, hands-on sessions empower parents and caregivers with the confidence and skills needed to keep children safe. |

Our Story of Growth and Dedication
Our journey began a decade ago with a single service for expectant parents at a small film production company. Since then, in California, we have expanded significantly by applying Behavioral Skills Training to improve our efforts in teach parents how to install, test, and use their car seat properly, including restraining their child correctly. This has shown to reduce misuse of car seat errors by 95%. We have conducted training over 30,000 expecting parents, parents, and caregivers. We have reached more than 26,000 children and their families, and we have provided numerous continuing education classes to certify Child Passenger Safety Technicians, thereby strengthening child passenger safety efforts across the nation. Throughout this journey, the trust and gratitude of parents and caregivers motivate us. We prioritize follow-up to ensure that the knowledge we share translates into real-world safety and proper use of safety devices. Our impact is demonstrated not just in the numbers, but in the tangible improvements in safety, correct usage rates, and the confidence we foster—supported by research and positive outcomes that show effective implementation makes a real difference. |

Our Global Impact and Leadership
Our impact extends across 47 hospitals, 26 public health departments, and 7 universities. We collaborate worldwide with 24 international organizations, supporting injury prevention, disease education, and pandemic response programs, which have generated over $1.9 million in support for public health, injury and violence prevention research services. We have participated in over 120 professional conference presentations and published more than 200 articles and 130 health education materials, all dedicated to advancing child passenger safety and injury prevention in public health. Beyond our broad impact, Pro Car Seat Safety offers essential professional training and 31 professional support service programs, including certification for Child Passenger Safety Technicians, a nationwide hospital-based Spica Cast Car Seat Loaner Program, and the Car Seat Safety on the Homefront program for military families. We also founded and lead the Recreational Vehicle and Child Passenger Safety Working Group, providing specialized expertise, and offer comprehensive educational services to promote safety awareness. Additionally, we support hospital community benefit initiatives and actively lead in child passenger safety policy and education. These efforts are designed to elevate standards, provide hands-on support, and foster leadership within the child passenger safety community. |

In May 2024, I was honored to be inducted into the Delta Omega Honor Society in Public Health through George Washington University—an acknowledgment of my dedication to advancing public health efforts and child safety. |

From Local to Global Services: Our Journey Continues
Over the past decade, we have evolved from providing in-person child passenger safety services primarily in Southern California to adopting innovative, evidence-based approaches. In 2018, we began providing virtual telehealth car seat educational services to expecting parents, leveraging Behavioral Skills Training to expand our outreach. A key part of this evolution is the development of the National Telehealth Car Seat Call Center, a dedicated hotline offering expert guidance, answering questions, and providing virtual assistance to parents, caregivers, and professionals across the United States. This service allows us to serve families in remote areas, U.S. Territories like Guam and the Northern Mariana Islands, and beyond—making child passenger safety accessible to all communities. In addition to our work in the U.S., we have recently expanded our efforts to include road safety and injury prevention initiatives in other countries. Our international programs aim to promote safer roads and reduce injuries worldwide, reflecting our commitment to global safety and health. Today, we serve families, hospitals, and community organizations across the U.S.—including Hawaii, Alaska, Guam, and the Northern Mariana Islands—and around the world. Our dedication to accessible, effective, and evidence-based education continues to grow, strengthening safety both locally and internationally. |
