About Pro Car Seat Safety
Pro Car Seat Safety, a division of Pro Consumer Safety, is a National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) certified mobile car seat installation service, serving the greater Los Angeles County area since 2012. We provide individual, mobile installation and education services at your location usually within hours of your call. We also provide child passenger safety and child safety classes for new parents, provide information on Parent Central to the general public, and provide professional support services to local and state governments, schools, day care, businesses and related service organizations.
We are a certified National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA), car seat inspection station. However certified child passenger safety technicians (CPSTs) are educators to ensure the parent/caregiver or driver understands how to install and use their car seat while restraining their child properly. We serve within greater Los Angeles and adjacent counties. Since 2018, we have provided virtual one-on-one sessions through the National Telehealth Car Seat Call Center to assist parents throughout the United States and/or who are being discharged from hospital after birth. Our approach in assisting expecting parents and parents with older children has been validated through recent research, published (click to read published study), and proven to be an effective approach to ensure parents are installing and using their car seats properly to keep their child passengers safe.

Our Expertise and Training
We specialize in assisting expectant parents as well as those with newborns with their car seats. To improve our ability to effectively teach you, we use a Behavioral Skills Training (BST), evidenced-based, educational approach, that helps you learn and remember more easily. This approach was validated and shown to be effective, based on a quasi-experimental longitudinal study of over 2,448 new parents individually, as part of the Occupant Protection section of the (2015-2020) California Strategic Highway Safety Plan (SHSP). Current efforts to expand this approach are being studied in the 2020-2024 SHSP. We serve the entire United States, and Canada, including hotels, car rental companies, and airports during travel. We can usually install it within hours of your call, but appointments are recommended. We educate you so you are empowered to fully understand your car seat and to properly fasten your child in their seat. Keep your baby riding safely from the start! We serve throughout the United States, U.S. Territories and Canada, including mobile services to our local communities throughout Los Angeles, Ventura, Orange, and western San Bernardino counties at your home, workplace, hotel, car rental company, and airport (LAX, Ontario, or Burbank).
Being discharged from the hospital? We also have a 24/7 service for hospital discharge. Just call and we will have a certified technician install your seat at the hospital. |
About the Founder, Owner, and Director
The founder and owner of Pro Car Seat Safety is a leader in child passenger safety research, programs, and services. He is also an injury and neuroepidmeiologist, who develops behavioral-based injury prevention programs to reduce injury risk and improve public health programs and promote health and wellness. He is also a certified child passenger safety technician (CPST) and Master Certified Health Education Specialist (MCHES) and has worked in the public health and medical profession since 2012, and a leader in child passenger safety. With car seats, he specializes with assisting expecting parents and those with newborns.
